On Halloween. . .

Halloween is one of our favorite holidays and generally starts the traditional “holiday season” of Halloween, Thanksgiving (US as well as other countries), Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Year’s Eve. There is something magical for me in Halloween. Pumpkins, ghosts, scary costumes, lots of candy. When I was a kid, I spent many hours dreaming of the beautiful, custom-made princess costume with a wand of gold and a long, flowing blond wig that mom would get for me. I was equally thrilled when she brought home a Superman costume on sale at the local discount store. Boy, girl–mom didn’t care. …
