Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday

So glad you stopped by. This week I’m sharing another snippet from my soon-to-release book, A Prescription for Love, #3 in my Oklahoma Lover series. For those of you who have read A Run For Love #1, you’ll remember Michael Henderson, the oldest nephew. This is his story. A Wife By Christmas#2, released last year, and is Ellie’s story. Note: A Run For Love will be on sale from October 10th to the 16th. Grab your copy and start enjoying the Henderson/Cochran legacy.

What was he to do about Heidi Lester? The idea of them being merely employer and employee had evaporated this afternoon when he’d kissed her, and she hadn’t objected. Even though she’d sworn her determination to stay for a month and taste some freedom, she could still change her mind and return to the comfortable and coddled life she’d left. She had adoring parents and an anxious fiancé ready to escort her back at a moment’s notice.

Why the hell would he care? Hadn’t one broken heart been enough?

I hope that piqued your interest. Here is the blurb:

Betrayed by his fiancée’s infidelity eight years ago, pharmacist Michael Henderson vowed he’d never risk his heart again. But he doesn’t anticipate the tug of attraction he shares with his new employee.

Heidi Lester flees her home, determined to prove to her overprotective parents she can conquer her debilitating asthma, to make a life of her own. However, her unscrupulous fiancé has no intention of letting her go. He has his own plans for Heidi and her inheritance.

Will a scheme to ruin Michael’s family force Heidi to marry her fiancé, or will assistance arrive from a surprising source to allow her to be with the man she truly loves?

Please stop by the Six Sentence Sunday website to check out other talented author’s six sentences. And I would love to hear what you think of Michael’s dilemma.
